Graham's

 travels turned
into tales

AUTHOR Graham Kendall
has released his fourth book.

Writing under the name of Mark Leaghland, Graham, of St Augustine's Court, Heme, has crcated an adventure tale that takes readers on a journey through sorne of the world's most exotic countries.

Beyond the Shadows is set in London and the jungles of Guatemala.

Like his previous books, it has a political undertone infused with themes of love and survival.

But it is safe to say that not a1l of Graham's stories are entirely from his imagination.

The former policemen, 69, has travelled to America, Canada, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Iran and Iraq.

He has also lived in Jamaica, Spain and Germany. Now Graham has settled for the quiet life on the English coast.

He said: "Subconsciously 1 know I've taken inspiration for my books from places I have been to and people I've met.

"I 've travelled on 881 flights and in that time I have met some fascinating people

. "What is common throughout a1l my books is the that all the stories I write are possible scenarios.

"Even though it is fiction it is tinged with an element of reality.

"When people read it they think 'Wow, that could actually happen’."
